An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and visionary hospitality leader to helm the launch of a new ultra-luxury private members club in Shanghai.

Designed as a refined destination for an influential international membership community, the club will blend elevated dining, culture, wellness, entertainment, and bespoke experiences within a highly curated environment defined by discretion, sophistication, and impeccable service.

We are seeking a General Manager with the presence, commercial acumen, and leadership sophistication to deliver a world-class members experience while establishing the club as one of Shanghai’s most coveted lifestyle destinations.

The Role

As General Manager, you will lead the club from pre-opening through to full operation, overseeing every aspect of the business with an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

You will be responsible for shaping the club’s culture, recruiting and developing an exceptional team, driving operational performance, and creating a seamless and highly personalised member journey synonymous with leading international luxury brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful pre-opening and launch of the club
• Curate and maintain exceptional service standards across all touchpoints
• Build, mentor, and inspire a best-in-class hospitality team
• Oversee all operational divisions including F&B, membership, events, guest relations, and wellness
• Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives
• Foster meaningful relationships with members, VIP guests, partners, and stakeholders
• Ensure the delivery of discreet, intuitive, and highly personalised service
• Collaborate closely with ownership to establish the club’s positioning, identity, and long-term vision
• Champion a culture of elegance, professionalism, and attention to detail

Candidate Profile

• Significant senior leadership experience within luxury hospitality, private members clubs, luxury hotels, or high-end lifestyle environments
• Proven pre-opening experience within premium or luxury concepts preferred
• Naturally polished, charismatic, and service-driven leader
• Strong commercial and operational expertise with a hands-on management style
• Deep understanding of luxury guest expectations and international service standards
• Experience within Asia or other international gateway cities highly advantageous
• Fluent English essential; Mandarin proficiency beneficial
