Mechanical Estimator

A leading mechanical and electrical building services specialist is currently looking for a permanent Mechanical Estimator to accurately estimate the costs of mechanical systems across construction projects in Surrey.

Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £68,000 - £75,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Duties:

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand mechanical scope


• Perform detailed take-offs and quantity surveys (HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection)


• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and budgets, including labour, materials, and equipment


• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/supplier bids and negotiate pricing


• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in construction


• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems


• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications


• Familiarity with estimating software advantageous
