Sharp Skips is looking for an experienced LGV Class 2 driver to join a well-established, family-run business with over 43 years in the industry.

This is a hands-on role within a down-to-earth working environment, where good drivers are recognised and supported.

Hourly Pay – Standard
£17.62 per hour
Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm

Hourly Pay – Overtime
£26.43 per hour
Before 7:00am or after 4:30pm

Saturday Pay
£26.43 per hour

Incentive Payment
£15.00 per day, Monday to Saturday
Paid monthly

• 28 days’ annual leave
• Includes 7 compulsory bank holidays
• Good Friday is a normal working day
• 21 days are selectable
• Holiday year begins on 1 July

• 45-minute daily tachograph break is paid
• Incentive payment is paid monthly, one month in hand
• Working week runs from Friday to Thursday
• Payment is made by bank transfer every Thursday, one week in hand
• Clock-in and clock-out system
• Three-month probation period

What You’ll Be Doing

• Driving LGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver and collect skip bins across various locations
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to maintain safety and compliance
• Following all legal driving regulations and company procedures
• Recording deliveries and customer interactions accurately
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers

What You’ll Need

• A valid LGV Class 2, Category C licence
• At least 1 year of LGV Class 2 driving experience
• CPC and digital tachograph card
• A responsible driving record
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• The ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed
