A well-established and highly profitable construction engineering business is looking for an experienced IT Applications Manager to join its IT leadership team.



Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll lead the strategy, governance, development and continual improvement of the organisation's enterprise applications landscape, playing a key role in an ambitious digital transformation programme and supporting a significant pipeline of mergers and acquisitions.



Working alongside the IT Infrastructure Manager and IT Service Manager, you'll drive application modernisation, automation, integration and standardisation across the business, ensuring solutions remain secure, scalable and aligned with business objectives.



Responsibilities


, Develop and deliver the enterprise applications roadmap aligned to business strategy


, Lead application governance, lifecycle management, standardisation and rationalisation


, Drive digital transformation through low-code/no-code platforms, workflow automation and AI-enabled technologies


, Lead application due diligence, migration and integration activities for M&A projects


, Manage and develop a small applications team alongside external managed service providers


, Own vendor relationships, service reviews, licensing, budgets and product roadmaps


, Oversee enterprise applications including Workday, UKG/Kronos, COINS ERP, SharePoint, Snowflake, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Adaptive Planning, Sales Achiever CRM, Pro-Sapien and Primavera P6


, Ensure strong application security, governance, performance, business continuity and user adoption


, Collaborate with business leaders to improve processes, data quality and operational efficiency



Requirements:


, Proven experience managing enterprise applications within a complex organisation, ideally with experience of digital transformation and M&A integration programmes.


, Enterprise applications strategy and governance


, Low-code/no-code platforms and workflow automation


, Application standardisation and modernisation


, Business process improvement and enterprise integrations


, Managing technical teams, suppliers and third-party vendors


, Strong stakeholder management and programme delivery


, Experience with Workday, UKG/Kronos, COINS ERP, Snowflake, SharePoint or similar enterprise platforms would be highly advantageous


, Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction or other project-based industries is desirable, along with knowledge of ITIL, Agile or project delivery methodologies



Central London - Hybrid working with 4 days per week onsite initially, reducing to 2 days after probation.
