Role: Team Leader

Setting: Residential Children’s Home

Locations: Lewisham or Newham

Salary: £32,350 per year

A specialist children's residential care provider is looking for an experienced Team Leader to join their team, supporting young people in a safe, stable and nurturing environment.

This is an opportunity to take the next step in your career, building on your experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker while taking greater responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home and supporting the wider team.

You'll lead shifts, mentor and support staff, promote positive relationships with young people and ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader with a background in children's residential care, strong safeguarding knowledge and a genuine passion for helping young people build confidence, resilience and independence.

About you:

• Experience working within children's residential care, youth work or children's services.
• Experience working at a senior level within a residential children’s home
• NVQ Level 3/Diploma for Residential Childcare
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and the impact of adverse childhood experiences.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
