Employee Relations Manager

We’re working with a growing restaurant group that is looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join its people team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, partnering with managers, and helping teams work through people challenges.

You’ll have a key role in supporting employees, guiding leaders, and making sure the business maintains a strong, fair, and consistent workplace.

What You’ll Do

• Be a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
• Manage investigations from start to finish and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Advise managers on performance concerns, disciplinary action, documentation, and terminations.
• Work closely with Operations and HR to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall team culture.
• Help ensure policies and employment practices are applied consistently and in line with California and multi-state regulations.
• Partner with senior HR leaders and legal advisors on sensitive or higher-risk matters.

About You

• 5+ years of proven HR experience, with a strong Employee Relations background.
• Solid understanding of California employment legislation and multi-state HR practices.
• Proven experience handling workplace investigations and sensitive employee situations.
• Comfortable advising and challenging managers when needed.
• Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location experience is strongly preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
• A confident, approachable communicator who builds strong relationships at all levels.
