Senior Marketing and Communications Manager (FTC 12 months)

The Company

Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-driven financial services organisation committed to driving innovation and thought leadership across the sector.

They work collaboratively with industry partners, institutional stakeholders, and strategic partners to develop and execute high-impact initiatives.

With a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture and a growing profile, they're building their communications capability to strengthen relationships and amplify their presence across the market.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to join their expanding team on a contract basis (12 months FTC with strong potential for permanent conversion).

This is a hands-on, senior leadership role where you'll own the communications and brand strategy from concept to execution, reporting directly to the leadership team.

You will be managing a dynamic portfolio of projects that span thought leadership, media relations, brand development, and event management.

This role offers the rare chance to shape how a cutting-edge organisation is perceived by regulators, government bodies, and industry.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and PR strategy that positions the organisation as a trusted voice in digital finance and sustainable investing, building relationships with media and key stakeholders across banking, fintech, and regulatory sectors

  • Lead the delivery of a major rebrand project, including creative oversight of logo, visual identity, website, and brand collateral to reflect the organisation's evolving mission and impact

  • Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy, including ghostwriting articles, securing media placements, and curating speaking opportunities for leadership at industry and government forums

  • Manage event strategy and execution for large-scale industry events (150-200 attendees), including event design, promotion, speaker engagement, and post-event communications

  • Collaborate across internal teams to create compelling marketing campaigns and collateral including white papers, interview content, and speaker engagement initiatives

Ideal Experience

  • Significant experience in a senior communications or marketing role, preferably in financial services, with demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and media relations

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex, technical concepts for sophisticated audiences including government officials, regulators, and industry executives

  • Experience managing the full spectrum of communications activities, from PR strategy and thought leadership to brand development and campaign execution, with a track record of working independently without day-to-day direction

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with the flexibility to pivot quickly between multiple workstreams and unfamiliar topics, combined with strong project management and execution discipline

  • Event management experience and familiarity with marketing automation platforms or event management systems (such as Swift Digital, email marketing tools, or similar)

Why Apply

  • Join a mission-driven organisation at a pivotal moment, leading the rebrand and communications strategy for multiple high-impact projects with visibility across government and industry

  • Work in a collaborative, startup-style culture where you'll have genuine influence over strategy and immediate access to senior leadership

  • A genuine hybrid arrangement with flexibility and the strong prospect of contract-to-permanent transition if it's a great fit
