Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Bonus

We are looking for a passionate, experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a domiciliary care service in Worthing.

The service provides personalised care and support to individuals with a range of needs, including mental health support and end-of-life care.

The Role


As the Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the domiciliary care service.

You will ensure that the service consistently delivers safe, effective, compassionate and person-centred care.


You will lead and develop a dedicated care team while ensuring the service meets all relevant regulatory, compliance and quality standards.



Duties and Responsibilities




  • Provide strong and effective leadership to the care and office team.




  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service.




  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and person-centred care.




  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.




  • Prepare for and manage CQC inspections and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.




  • Lead, support, supervise and develop care staff.




  • Recruit, onboard and retain high-quality care professionals.




  • Carry out regular staff supervisions, appraisals and performance management.




  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management.




  • Conduct quality assurance checks, audits and service reviews.




  • Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and investigations appropriately.




  • Ensure robust care planning and risk assessments are completed and regularly reviewed.




  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.




  • Support and oversee care provision for individuals with mental health needs.




  • Ensure sensitive, compassionate and high-quality end-of-life care is delivered.




  • Monitor the financial performance of the service and work towards growth and business objectives.




  • Identify opportunities to develop and expand the service.




  • Promote a positive, professional and supportive culture across the team.





Candidate Requirements


The successful candidate will ideally have:




  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager ideally within domiciliary care but not essential




  • A proven track record of managing and leading a successful care service.




  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.




  • Experience and understanding of end-of-life or palliative care.




  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent.




  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance and inspection requirements.




  • Experience managing safeguarding concerns and quality assurance processes.




  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.




  • Experience recruiting, developing and retaining care staff.




  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.




  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.




  • A passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred care.




  • Commercial awareness and an ability to support service growth.




  • The ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging situations.
