Compensation: $65,000–$80,000 base salary + performance bonus up to 10% of base salary

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant General Manager to join a high-volume, upscale restaurant and hospitality operation in the heart of New Orleans.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about exceptional food, beverage, wine, and guest experiences.
The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, lead the front-of-house team, and ensure consistently high service standards across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant and hospitality operations.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor and lead by example.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop an exceptional service team.
- Create a culture centered around genuine hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
- Oversee service standards and ensure a consistently polished guest journey.
- Train and develop servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
- Manage scheduling, labor, productivity, inventory, and cost controls.
- Oversee beverage inventory, ordering, and operational procedures.
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
- Engage directly with guests through table touches, relationship building, and service recovery.
- Develop and refine operating procedures and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with sales and events teams to deliver exceptional private events and celebrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve the guest experience while increasing operational efficiency and profitability.
- Support the General Manager with additional projects and responsibilities as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a confident, polished, and hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor and leading a team.
You should have a genuine passion for hospitality and take pride in creating an environment where both guests and employees feel welcomed and valued.
You should be comfortable discussing wine, cocktails, and cuisine while also being capable of coaching employees, resolving guest concerns, and managing day-to-day operational challenges.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience within high-volume upscale restaurants, polished dining concepts, or comparable hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and elevated food and beverage service.
- Proven experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience leading front-of-house operations.
- Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory, and cost controls.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000–$80,000 annual base salary
- Performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary, based on KPI achievement
