Commercial Insurance Account Handler

York or Hull | Up to £40,000 + bonus | Hybrid working following probation

Build your commercial insurance career with an independent broker offering a varied client portfolio, a bonus linked to new business and retention, and fully funded CII study.

With over 35 years of experience and clients across the UK, this independently owned brokerage is expanding its commercial team.

It is looking for an experienced Account Handler to manage client relationships, handle enquiries and help clients arrange cover that meets their needs.

The position is available in York or Hull, with hybrid working following probation.

  Manage a portfolio of commercial clients across a range of industries and insurance classes.

  
  


• 
  

  Handle renewals and support clients with their day-to-day insurance needs.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow up on new business enquiries, understand prospective clients' requirements and convert enquiries into business.

  
  


• 
  

  Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and arrange appropriate cover.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate records and follow regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with colleagues to provide a responsive, reliable service.

  
  

• 
  

  Experience in commercial insurance account handling.

  
  


• 
  

  Broad knowledge of commercial insurance products.

  
  


• 
  

  Confidence communicating with clients and insurers, and a commitment to building lasting relationships.

  
  


• 
  

  An organised approach and the ability to manage your workload effectively.

  
  

CII qualifications would be beneficial, but are not essential.

  A salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience, plus a bonus based on new business and retention.
