ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

I am hiring on behalf of a luxury hotel in Chicago for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the leadership team within a high-volume, upscale dining operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Restaurant General Manager with the daily operation of the restaurant.
• Lead service and ensure consistently high guest-service standards.
• Supervise, coach, and develop front-of-house colleagues.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management.
• Monitor service quality and address guest feedback professionally.
• Support financial, labour, and inventory controls.
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with events, private dining, and other F&B operations.
• Ensure all health, safety, and operational standards are maintained.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous supervisory or Assistant Manager experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine-dining environment.
• Strong understanding of restaurant service and front-of-house operations.
• Excellent guest-service and communication skills.
• Confident leading and motivating a team.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Hospitality-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
