HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER – ABU DHABI

We are seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead a large, full-service 4

* hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished hotelier with strong operational, commercial and financial expertise, capable of running the property with a high degree of autonomy while building trusted relationships with Ownership and key stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of hotel experience, including 5+ years as a Hotel General Manager.
• Proven leadership of a 300+ room, full-service 5
  
  * hotel.
• Ideally 5+ years of UAE/GCC experience, with strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market.
• Full responsibility for Rooms, F&B, Sales, Revenue and profitability.
• Experience managing multiple profitable F&B outlets and a strong standalone F&B operation.
• Strong P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and cash-flow management skills.
• Strong understanding of corporate, government, MICE, leisure, OTA and group business.
• Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, segmentation and channel mix and the confidence to challenge Revenue and Sales strategies.
• Strong Rooms Division and F&B operational background — this is an operationally led GM role, not a sales-focused position.
• Proven ability to lead a 200+ employee operation, develop HODs and build succession.
• Track record of improving guest satisfaction and online reputation.
• Experience managing CAPEX, refurbishments, FF&E and Owner expectations.
• Comfortable managing disruption, market downturns, security/geopolitical issues and sudden changes in demand.
• International or established hotel brand experience preferred.
• Hospitality/business degree or equivalent professional experience.

The Opportunity

This role requires a strong, independent and hands-on Hotel General Manager who can take full ownership of the property with minimal interference from Corporate Office or Ownership.

Building a strong, transparent and long-term relationship with the Owners and key stakeholders will be equally important.

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of trust, accountability, communication and delivering sustainable results.
