Payroll Manager

Location: Eschborn (Frankfurt), Germany
Salary: €66,000–€72,000 + bonus
Languages: German (B2) and fluent English
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office.

This is an opportunity to join a global hospitality business in a hands-on Payroll Manager role, working closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll partners.

You don't need to have already held a management title — strong German payroll experience and the ambition to step into leadership are what matter most.

The Role

• Oversee payroll processes across multiple entities
• Ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
• Support and develop a small payroll team
• Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers
• Handle payroll reporting, audits, and compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline payroll processes
• Support payroll systems, documentation, and testing

About You

• 2–3+ years of experience in German payroll
• Strong knowledge of German payroll, tax, and social security
• Confident working independently and taking ownership
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience is a plus, but not essential
• Experience with multiple entities or shared services is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Payroll systems experience; SAP Payroll is a plus
• German at B2 level and fluent English
