  • Providing better visibility around business costs, including engineer and

operational costs

  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes

  • Overseeing larger debtor accounts where required

  • Liaising with external accountants and other stakeholders

  • Using Sage and Excel to maintain accurate and meaningful financial information

Experience, skills and attributes for the Finance Manager

  • Previous experience in a hands-on Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar role

  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation and management accounts experience

  • Experience of stock/inventory accounting would be highly beneficial

  • Strong Sage and Excel skills

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience considered

  • Confident working independently and taking ownership

  • Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving

  • Positive and proactive, with the confidence to challenge when needed

  • Someone who enjoys being part of a small, busy and friendly team

What's in it for you?

  • Salary of £40,000 - £48,000 depending on experience

  • Full-time role with flexibility around working hours

  • Office-based initially, with scope for some hybrid working after probation

  • A friendly, down-to-earth team of around 15 people

  • A culture built around trust, autonomy and working together

  • Company/team events throughout the year

  • A genuine opportunity to make your mark within a growing business

This is very much a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, bringing structure to a growing business and becoming a trusted part of the wider team.
