PE Teacher

Primary School PE Teacher

An inclusive primary school is looking for an enthusiastic PE Teacher to help pupils build confidence, develop their physical skills and enjoy being active.

You’ll plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across the primary age range, adapting activities to suit different abilities and helping pupils make progress.

You’ll also contribute to the wider life of the school and promote positive attitudes to health, teamwork and participation.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and teach high-quality PE lessons across the primary age range.
- Adapt lessons to support pupils with different abilities and needs.
- Assess and track pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Promote teamwork, confidence, fair play and enjoyment of physical activity.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment during lessons.
- Contribute to school events, clubs or sports activities where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate with parents when needed.

About you

You’ll be a positive, organised educator who can engage pupils and create a supportive learning environment.

You’ll have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching PE or delivering physical education in a primary setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- The ability to plan inclusive lessons for pupils with varied needs and abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required.
