Loader / Driver Mate

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: From 4 to 8 hours per day (typically starting at 9am) Monday – Thursday, with potential Friday cover if needed

Temporary contract: 7–8 weeks

A leading plastic manufacturer is looking for a reliable Loader / Driver Mate to support their delivery team.

This role involves loading and unloading bins, assisting the driver, and communicating professionally with council staff on delivery sites.

The Role:

• Loading and unloading wheelie bins onto vans
• Supporting the driver on delivery routes
• Speaking with council teams on arrival — must be confident and professional
• Handling bins up to 14‑high stacks (manual handling required)
• Acting as a driver mate and assisting with safe movement of products

Requirements:

• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting stacked bins
• Good communication skills and able to represent the business professionally
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours (4–8 hours depending on workload)
• Experience in a loading/driver mate role is helpful but not essential
