Product Manager, Mortgages

The Company

Our client is an established Australian lender with a strong home lending business and a focus on customer outcomes and sustainable growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on Product Manager role within a collaborative product team.

You'll help develop and improve mortgage products, taking initiatives from idea through to launch and making sure they work for customers, intermediaries and the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Run mortgage product initiatives from start to finish, including scoping, planning, requirements, testing, launch and review


• Turn business goals, market changes and regulatory updates into clear product requirements covering features, eligibility, pricing and credit settings


• Bring together teams across credit, funding, operations, technology, sales, marketing, legal and compliance to keep work moving and decisions on track


• Support pricing and product positioning with data, market research and competitor analysis


• Help identify and manage product risks, and support reviews and improvements to controls


• Use data and feedback to find ways to simplify and improve the product range

Ideal Experience

• Several years' experience in mortgages or secured lending, ideally in product, credit policy or lending change


• A solid understanding of how home loans work, from application to settlement and servicing


• Experience delivering product or business change, including business cases and working with technology teams


• Good commercial sense, risk awareness and a customer-first approach


• Experience with intermediary distribution or across a range of borrower segments is a plus
