Experience:
Proven experience working with young people with Autism, Dyslexia, and PDA, preferably in a one-on-one setting.
Experience working with children with school-based trauma and anxiety
Understanding of Autism and PDA, including managing demand avoidance, sensory sensitivities, and learning differences.
Experience supporting young people in activities such as arts and crafts, animal care, or horse riding.
Experience in supporting young people on a pathway to adulthood
Skills and Qualities:
Creative, fun, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for helping young people learn through interactive, hands-on activities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships with the young person and their family.
Ability to work flexibly, adapting to the young person's emotional and educational needs.
Strong safeguarding awareness, with the ability to follow protocols to ensure the child's safety.
Safeguarding:
A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to implement these effectively.
Desirable Criteria:
Knowledge of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) strategies and approaches.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years, supporting their development and well-being every step of the way.
Available Roles at the nursery:
Level 2 (24 hours over 3 days)
Level 2 (16 hours over 2 days)
Level 2 x 2 (39 hours over 4 days)
Level 3 (39 hours over 4 days
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in planning / delivering fun and education activities
Providing care for individual children's needs
Supporting room leaders in various aspects
Working on whole rooms, or 1-2-1 basis with children
Supervising children during mealtimes, snack times, and outdoor play.
Working in partnership with parents.
To liaise with other staff and parents to provide a holistic approach to the needs of young children
The ideal candidate will have:
Early Years Level 2 Qualification minimum (non-quals considered)
Previous experience working within a nursery
A patient and caring nature, and a real passion for working with children
