About the role/schoolWe are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets.
This is a full-time role supporting a pupil with additional needs, providing vital support to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.
The successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident in working with children with SEND, experienced in delivering personalised support, and passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential within a mainstream setting.
Job Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND throughout the school day.
Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies.
Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Work closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure consistent support.
Prepare and organise classroom resources to support learning activities.
Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and SENCO.
Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
Qualifications/Experience
Experience working with pupils with SEND in a school setting - essential.
Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
Right to work in the UK.
