About the Role We are recruiting for a rewarding opportunity within a school working in an Outstanding-rated specialist school supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with autism.
This is a full-time, term-time position ideal for individuals passionate about education, care, and making a meaningful difference.
As a Trainee SEN Teacher, you will work within small classes (3-6 pupils), supporting students on a 1:1 basis using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques.
You will play a key role in delivering personalised learning and helping students develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning within small classroom settings
Assist with lesson planning and delivery
Provide 1:1 support tailored to individual pupil needs
Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement
Assist with personal care when required
Support pupils during break times, trips, and therapy sessions
Monitor and record pupil progress
About You We welcome candidates with experience in:
SEN education, childcare, or nursery settings
