The Role

You will be working on manual machines for vertical or horizontal borers.

This is a heavy machining environment, for a client that is looking to expand their workforce due to the volume of orders that they are bringing in.

Main Responsibilities

• Working on manual turning or milling and vertical/horizontal borers
• Producing batch work
• Measure and record build tolerances, and ability to determine parts that require repair
• Fill out job paperwork accurately documenting actions taken.
• Meet production and quality targets set on a daily basis.
• Carry out quality checks on products and record the information accurately.
• Observe Safe Working Procedure, H&S instructions and additional training while operating machinery or working on processes.
• Check emergency stops as per instructions and fill out the relevant paperwork.
• Raise any performance or H&S issues immediately with the cell leader or supervisor.
• Make sure that machinery and production areas are kept clean

The Candidates

• Time served is desirable if not extensive experience
• Strong ability on manual turning or milling machines
• Desirable experience with vertical or horizontal borers
• Flexible to work overtime
