My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Workshop / Installation Supervisor to join their team due to continued growth and expansion.

Workshop / Installation's Supervisor

The successful candidate: - 

• BTEC or City and Guilds electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship/training body & 5 years’ experience
• Be passionate about your role & have an eye for detail.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• Previous experience in a supervisory / team leader role.
• Previous experience of the following activities;
  

  o Control panel building.

  o General controls installations

  o Understanding of control panel components

  o Understanding of field devices, sensors / switches

  o Pneumatic systems (basic)

• Be a great communicator who can interface between the workshop and the office.
• Have a calm nature and methodical approach to help to work easy under pressure.
• A natural problem solver
• Must have sufficient computer skills, Microsoft office.

The workshop / installation supervisor will be responsible for a team of

approximately 10 technicians and will oversee the assembly / installation of electrical &

pneumatic systems

Role and Responsibilities

Be responsible for job allocation to a team of technicians.

• Gather the correct information for individual jobs.

• Be responsible for job allocation to a team of technicians
• Oversee the assembly and wiring of electrical and pneumatic control systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prioritize work to meet demands of the business.
• Assist the maintenance manager on internal electrical issues / upgrade projects.
• Manage health and safety, near miss reporting to the allocated area.
  
  
• Carry out relevant QC checks to finished goods.
  
  
• Ensure that the correct workshop / company procedures are being carried out.
• Keep an organized workshop, ensuring stock levels of consumable items is sufficient.
• Ensure that a clean / tidy working environment is maintained.
• Train and instruct technicians to develop skills.
