£38,000 per annum

Role Purpose

To effectively carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance of the plant, ensuring that all equipment is maintained correctively and in a timely manner in order for manufacturing to operate efficiently.

Multi Skilled Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient diagnosis and correction of electrical and mechanical faults.
• Installation and commissioning of all new and repaired machinery and equipment
• Assist manufacturing with machinery adjustments, changeovers and set up.
• Machine performance improvements and reduction of downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take an active role in Health and Safety requirements on site.
• Be able to work unsupervised when tasked to do so, and to organise the work of others, where relevant, in response to the site needs
• Manage and support the activities of all engineering contractors when they are on site.
• Conducting of planned predictive maintenance on machinery.

Multi Skilled Engineer

The Person:

• Level 3 NVQ Electrical/ Mechanical Qualification
• Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry.
• Experience of FMCG operations, desirable
• Welding Experience (Not Essential)
• PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
• Health and Safety driven.
• Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments.
• To mentor apprentices
