Position: Secondary General Science Teacher
Location: Mixed High School, Liverpool
Start Date: Full Time, After May Half Term
Duration: Until the End of the School Year (with potential for permanent position from September)
Daily Pay Rate: £180 - £220, paid weekly

About the Role:


Integra Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate General Science Teacher to join a mixed high school in Liverpool.

This is a full-time position starting immediately after the May half term and lasting until the end of the school year, with the potential to be kept on permanently from September.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles, ensuring all students are engaged and motivated.

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school policies.

  • Student Assessment: Assess students' progress regularly through a variety of assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.

  • Exam Preparation: Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including mock exams and final assessments, by delivering targeted revision sessions and practice exams.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning and ensures the safety and well-being of all students.

  • Individualized Support: Provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to ensure they achieve their full potential.

  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

  • Professional Development: Participate actively in professional development opportunities, including free CPD training provided by Integra Education, to continuously improve teaching practice.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the science department and across the school, sharing best practices and contributing to a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Engage in and support extracurricular science activities, such as science clubs, field trips, and competitions, to enrich students' learning experiences.

  • Compliance and Safeguarding: Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.



Requirements:



  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching secondary-aged students is advantageous but not essential

  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
