Accounts Assistant and Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Administrator



  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  • Handle income tax and corporation tax computations and returns

  • Manage VAT returns and assist with HMRC tax enquiries and investigations

  • Develop cash flows and budget plans for clients

  • Perform general office tasks such as meeting/greeting clients, filing, scanning, and email correspondence


Experience, Skills, and Attributes Required for the Accounts Administrator



  • AAT level 2 and above

  • Proven experience in an accounts function

  • Familiarity with Xero and QuickBooks is beneficial, but training will be provided.

  • MS Word and Excel.

  • A personable and friendly team player who can also work independently


  • Comfortable communicating with clients over the phone, very occasionally in person
