Our client, a leading retail group and an iconic brand, is seeking a talented Finance & Operations Director to join their team during a strategic revitalisation focused on profitability.

Role:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  
  Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  
  Collaborate with the Finance Manager to base strategy on accurate financial information.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including supply chain, logistics, and vendor management.
  
  Take ownership for operational success, problem-solving, and refining strategy in this area.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies that enhance profitability.
• Manage and mentor a team, including the Design & Production Director, Digital Director, Sales Manager, Ops & Merch team, and Finance Manager, to meet their top-line targets and margins.
  
  Lead the management team to meet KPIs and mentor them to grow their skills and confidence.
• Ensure Ops & Merch deliver the correct product mix across sales channels on time.
• Responsible for overall profitability and success of the business.
  
  Have a strong understanding of cash flow and able to make commercial decisions around cash flow.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and resource allocation, enhancing departmental efficiency without compromising accuracy.
  
  Spearhead implementation of procedural enhancements and technological innovations to streamline workflow and elevate performance standards.
• Collaborate with the Director on special projects and workflow enhancements.

Experience:

• Must have a finance background and be able to work with complex Excel modelling.
• Must have operational experience, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  
  Experience with retail and e-commerce, preferably in female-focused consumer sectors such as fashion, beauty, or jewellery.
• Experience in private label or manufacturing operations is advantageous.
