About the Client

Our client, a first-of-its-kind private members club, is seeking a Pastry Chef to join their elite team.

This exclusive club offers unparalleled experiences, blending luxury and innovation in a unique setting.

The Pastry Chef will have the opportunity to create exquisite pastry menus and elevate the culinary experience for members and guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide variety of goods following traditional and modern recipes, including cakes, cookies, pies, and bread
• Assist with menu development and maintain new recipes, presentations, and products
• Coordinate and direct the pastry operation alongside the pastry team
• Supervise dessert and baked goods preparation and production
• Inspect ingredient quality and measure them for specific recipes, maintaining cost-consciousness
• Ensure kitchen equipment meets requirements and is in good condition
• Provide training, guidance, and supervision to pastry staff, promoting excellence and improving department standards

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years management experience in a professional kitchen, an asset if in a private members concept
• Proficiency in baking, pastry decoration, chocolate work, and sugar craft
• Experience with a variety of cooking styles and techniques
• Genuine passion for pastry and dedication to creating delicious desserts
