Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive (Court of Protection)

Location: Exeter, Devon

Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent, 36.25 Hours

The Client:

Our client is a well-established law firm, delivering legal services to both private clients and business communities.

The Role:

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will handle all aspects of Court of Protection work, utilising a progressive case management system.

Duties:



* Run files and collaborate with the Deputy on Court of Protection matters


* Establish long-term relationships with individuals and families, gathering views for "best interest" decisions


* Provide advice on the Mental Capacity Act and guide on family disputes


* Prepare general Court Applications and Statutory Will Applications


* Represent the Deputy at Court of Protection Hearings and liaise with Counsel when necessary


* Investigate suspicions of Financial Abuse


Requirements



* Previously worked as a Solicitor, Lawyer or in a similar role.


* Proven experience in Court of Protection work


* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


* Ideally possess a STEP qualification or be willing to pursue
