Associate Director (Mechanical)

Associate Director / Principal Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £65k - £70k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

Location: Glasgow

A well-established consultancy offering sustainable environmental building, design, and engineering services across the UK and globally.

The Role:

As an Associate Director, you will lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, ensuring quality service delivery and business growth.

Duties:



* Oversee mechanical design and consultancy work, including systems design, specifications, and schedules.


* Liaise with internal and external design team members and represent the company at meetings.


* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their interests are met.


* Manage project schedules and workloads for the team.


* Review and ensure the accuracy of documentation produced by the team.


* Apply and maintain Quality System procedures.


* Perform management duties, including recording person-hour commitments and reporting on project fee inputs.


* Comply with all security procedures and confidentiality restrictions.


* Assist directors in fulfilling primary business objectives.


* Ensure operations align with relevant ISO standards and national legislation.


Requirements:



* Previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer or in a a similar role.


* Chartered or working towards it with IMECHE / CIBSE.


* Minimum HNC / HND in engineering or equivalent qualification.


* Ideally have experience in healthcare design with knowledge of SHTM and SHPN.


* Proficient in AutoCAD with knowledge of Revit.


* BEng (Hons) Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering would be preferred


* Familiarity with Key Stage Assurance Reviews (KSAR) is an advantage.
