Design Engineer (Hybrid)

One of the UK's leading companies in the West Midlands, specializing in glazing, curtain walling and steel fabrication, is currently seeking a skilled Design Engineer (Hybrid) to join their team.

• Type: Permanent


• Salary: £60,000 per year


• Location: Ideally based at West Brom but would consider hybrid WFH arrangement/working in Gloucester office.

Duties:

• Produce project-specific 2D designs using AutoCAD software.


• Coordinate project drawings with the design team.


• Liaise with structural engineers for drawing checks.


• Generate fabrication schedules and material summaries for ordering.


• Identify changes and raise mid-project variations.


• Attend design coordination meetings and site surveys.


• Work in line with project programmes and timelines.

Qualifications Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD 2D.


• Experience designing and scheduling curtain walls, windows, and doors.


• Familiarity with Kawneer or Metal Technologies systems (preferred).


• Knowledge of LogiKal based software (beneficial).


• Experience with Revit or similar modelling software (advantageous).


• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.


• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
