Salary: £40,000 per annum, plus paid overtime
Restaurant Size: 140 covers
Food Style: British Seasonal
Team Size: 4 chefs
Daily Covers: Up to 200
Reports to: General Manager
Venue: Brunch and café-focused

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the culinary team in a premium garden centre setting, focusing on breakfast, lunch, and private events.
• Develop creative and seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including garden herbs.
• Collaborate with management to transition the café into a restaurant environment and drive sales.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food cost management and menu planning.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a fresh food establishment or gastro pub.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a small kitchen team effectively.
• Passion for British seasonal cuisine and innovation in menu creation.
• Ability to thrive in a daytime-only schedule with occasional event overtime.
