Business Development Manager – Independent Wine Importer – London – Up to £50,000
I am excited to be partnered with a leading independent wine importer and distributor which has been a regular in the Harpers Best Drink Supplier for a number of years.
This business with almost 10 years in the industry has a well-known and highly regarded portfolio of producers covering a number of exciting locations.
We are on the search for a Business Development Manager who can drive growth in London across the HoReCa and luxury retail market.
The Business Development Manager will execute the strategy and grow market share for the brands, with involvement in procurement, menu development and product listings.
The Business Development Manager will need to be based in London and have a track record in success! Options for development and progression.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with a strong focus on expanding our market presence.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring retention and growth. - Execute a pipeline of prospective On & Off trade customers across London and the surrounding areas.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive insights, and opportunities.
Develop and implement sales strategies that align with our brand values and growth goals. - Work closely with the marketing and production teams to ensure brand consistency and availability, creating a seamless experience for our customers.
The Ideal Business Development Manager candidate:
- Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within the wine industry working with varied producers across the world.
- Strong track record of success in new business development and account management within the HoReCa sector.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build lasting relationships with high-value clients.
- Deep knowledge of the wine industry and a passion for quality products.
- Goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
