My client is a fast-growing, forward-thinking food business in East London on a mission: delivering performance-led, functional meals that fuel energy, gut health, and mental clarity.
We are now looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused Head Chef to lead our production kitchen, shape our menus, and build a high-performing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef from a catering, dark kitchen, CPU, or large-scale production background, especially if you’re passionate about nutrition, wellbeing, and food innovation.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
- £40,000 – £44,000 DOE
- Monday to Friday hours (early start, early finish—get your evenings back!)

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Develop and prepare great
- Oversee high-volume daily production while maintaining top quality
- Design and develop nutritionally balanced, flavour-forward menus
- Manage food costs, stock, and ordering
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
- Train and develop the team around you
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef
- Background in catering, dark kitchens, or production kitchens
- Strong leadership and organisation skills
- Confidence working with volume and speed, without sacrificing quality
- Interest in nutrition, functional food, and wellbeing
- Someone who’s practical, solutions-driven, and loves working at pace
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Permanent
- Rate: £40k - 44k per year + .
