I am looking for an experienced Building Services Engineering to lead the building services scope for new hotel and workspace developments.

You will own the end-to-end delivery of building services (MEP: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire/life safety) from concept through commissioning and handover, ensuring compliant, efficient, and sustainable systems across a growing pipeline of construction projects.

Your Experience

• Degree in building services engineering (or mechanical/electrical engineering) or a comparable qualification
• Several years managing building services on new-build construction projects, ideally hospitality or commercial
• Strong knowledge of DIN standards and familiarity with LEED/BREEAM/DGNB sustainability frameworks
• Proven coordination of consultants, general contractors, and specialist subcontractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire/life safety)
• Experience with commissioning management, site inspections, quality control, and technical handover
• Commercial awareness (scope, budget, programme) with the ability to support CAPEX/OPEX and energy efficiency assessments
• Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for building services on new developments from brief to handover
• Define employer’s requirements; review and steer designs, ensuring compliance, performance, and value engineering
• Plan and manage tenders and appointments for MEP consultants and contractors; control scope, budget, and timelines
• Lead multi-disciplinary design coordination (architecture/structure/interiors) to integrate services effectively
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and validation; ensure as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and training for operations teams
• Drive sustainability and energy-optimisation strategies, including metering and building automation
• Ensure statutory approvals, health & safety compliance, and successful technical handovers; manage the defects period
• Report progress, risks, and KPIs to project stakeholders
