Job Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include:




  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.




  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions and ensure progress in learning and development.




  • Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.




  • Supporting children with communication, social, and emotional needs through structured activities.




  • Promoting independence, confidence, and a positive attitude to learning.




  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and supporting with lesson preparation.

Qualifications/Experience

To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have:




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK




  • Experience working with children with additional needs (desirable)




  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and well-being
