Google Looker Data Modeler & Developer

Location: Pennsylvania (Relocation Assistance Available)
Compensation: $125,000 – $135,000 annual base salary

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Google Looker Data Modeler & Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data models and visualization solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining LookML data models, developing insightful reports and dashboards in Looker Studio, and ensuring robust data governance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain scalable LookML models.
  
  Define dimensions, measures, calculated fields, and data relationships to meet evolving business requirements.
• Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources while maintaining a unified semantic layer in Looker.
• Dashboard Development: Create interactive, visually engaging dashboards and reports in Looker Studio with filtering, parameters, and drill-down capabilities.
• Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective, actionable analytics solutions.
• Data Governance & Security: Manage Looker application administration including user roles, permissions, and access controls in alignment with governance standards.
• User Support: Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance adoption and ensure effective use of Looker tools.
• Insight Generation: Collaborate with analysts and business teams to develop meaningful insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Optimization: Continuously refine data processes, improve model performance, and contribute to overall data quality initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Google Looker (LookML development and Looker Studio dashboards).
• Proficiency in ETL concepts, data integration, and relational database management.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and user access control.
• Experience with other BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
