We are currently looking for an Plating Team Leader for our Ramsgate site.
 
Purpose of role

To efficiently and effectively deliver the day-to-day operations of the Plating and Shot Peen departments.
Support the control of Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality issues, maintaining compliance with all industry standard regulations. 
 
Key Responsibilities

Process components within the plating department or shot peen department
Plan and schedule workload in line with the site production schedule.
Development and maintenance of strong team morale and team working.
Support implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members.
Maintain the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled).
Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Support the implementation of new product development initiatives.

 
 

Experience

Experience within the Engineering Industry
Prior experience in a production workshop environment
Prior experience of leading teams
Computer literate – competent in Microsoft Office
Understanding and implementation of lean process principles and their applications
