About the Role:

We are looking for a Domestic Solar Electrical installer to join our fast-growing electrical company.

Mercia Electrical specialise in renewable energy, including Solar PV, Battery Storage and Electric Car Charging.

Mercia are supporting the transition away from fossil fuels by originating and developing large-scale Solar PV projects.

They are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about renewable energy to join their dynamic fast-growing company within our domestic department.

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Install & Commission Solar PV and Battery storage system (Domestic only)
• Ensure installations meet BS 7671 and MC standards
• Complete testing, certification and handovers
• Communicate well with customers and be able to answer questions
• Stay informed about changes in renewable energy policies and incentives

• Have an interest in renewable energy
• Have the ability, confidence, and attitude to get things done quickly and with your own initiative
• Have a genuine interest in Solar PV work
• Good communication skills and able to motivate and enthuse others around them
• Pro-active and supportive team-player who is keen to muck in and make sure everyone wins
• Are you genuine, honest, and trustworthy?

Required Qualifications/ Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 (Required)
• 18th Wiring Edition (Required)
• Solar PV and Energy Storage Systems (EESS) (Required)
• Over one years' experience in solar installations (Required)
• Test and Inspecting (Desired)
• Strong knowledge of solar installation processes, codes and regulations
• Excellent communication skills for all divisions of the company and customers
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
• Willing to travel up to 90 minutes from the office location (DE3 0BX)
