About the role/school

Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Sevenoaks seeking a committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from April 2026 on a full-time basis.

Job Responsibilities

The successful Year 6 Teacher will:




  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum




  • Prepare pupils effectively for their end of Key Stage 2 assessments




  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes




  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning




  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment




  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership





Qualifications/Experience

The ideal Year 6 Teacher will have:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)




  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6




  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills




  • A passion for supporting pupils' academic and personal development




  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
