We are currently recruiting for experienced Freelance Scenic Carpenters / Bench Joiners to join a leading creative production and scenic fabrication company in London, delivering high-quality scenic builds across live events, exhibitions, experiential activations, retail environments and bespoke installations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy workshop during a peak production period, working on a variety of exciting, high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and assemble scenic sets, exhibition stands and bespoke joinery.


• Read and interpret technical drawings and build specifications.


• Produce high-quality scenic elements to strict production deadlines.


• Use a range of woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools safely.


• Assemble bespoke fabricated components within a workshop environment.


• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.


• Work collaboratively within a fast-paced production team.

Skills and Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Scenic Carpenter, Bench Joiner or Exhibition Carpenter.


• Background within scenic build, exhibitions, live events, retail fit-out or bespoke joinery.


• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.


• Strong assembly and workshop manufacturing experience.


• Excellent attention to detail and quality of finish.


• Experience using woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools.


• Reliable, hardworking and able to work to tight production deadlines.


• Metalwork or press brake experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
