Job Title:         Head Chef

H&C Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a beautifully appointed two‑storey gastro pub.

The ground floor delivers elevated British pub classics, while the upstairs dining room showcases refined, modern French cuisine.

We are seeking an accomplished Head Chef to lead a brigade of six and drive the continued evolution of a thoughtful, seasonally led menu.

The pub operates with a calm, quality‑focused rhythm, typically serving 20+ covers at lunch and around 80 covers at dinner.

The kitchen works closely with trusted suppliers, producing dishes rooted in French technique, seasonality, and a deep respect for provenance.

Head Chef Requirements:

• A driven Head Chef with experience working in award winning gastro pubs or reputable restaurants.
• Confident leading a team of six chefs, fostering a calm, collaborative and standards‑focused culture
• Strong financial acumen — confident with GP, costing and building commercially viable dishes
• Proven ability to run a disciplined kitchen: operations, hygiene, training and development
• A natural communicator who enjoys mentoring and elevating both BOH and FOH teams
• Passionate about seasonality; ideally previous experience working with British & French cuisine!
