Principal Data Architect - 3 Month Contract (3 Days Per Week)

A well established not for profit private health insurer is looking for an experienced Principal Data Architect to join the team on a 3 month contract basis at 3 days per week.

This is a senior hands on engagement working closely with the Head of Strategy, Data and AI to provide architectural guidance and direction during a critical period of platform and capability uplift.

What you will be doing:

• Designing and reviewing enterprise data architecture across cloud and on premise environments


• Providing senior technical guidance to internal data engineering and BI teams


• Advising on data modelling, integration patterns, governance frameworks and data quality standards


• Supporting the organisation's broader data platform modernisation and AI enablement initiatives


• Engaging with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable architectural solutions

What you will need:

• Proven experience at Principal or Senior Data Architect level


• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture in regulated or compliance heavy environments


• Experience across cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud


• Solid understanding of data governance, security and privacy requirements


• Experience in health insurance, financial services or government is highly regarded


• Ability to hit the ground running and operate effectively in a part time contract capacity
