Senior HR Manager / HR Director

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $100,000–$130,000 + 10% Bonus

We’re partnering with a well-established retail group in Indianapolis that’s looking for a strong HR leader to take ownership of the local HR function.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be close to the business, working with leaders and employees every day while also managing and supporting an HR team.

You’ll have a broad HR remit and the opportunity to really shape how the local business supports, develops and retains its people.

About You

• You’ve built solid HR experience within a larger, fast-moving organization
• You’ve managed an HR team and enjoy being a hands-on leader
• You’re comfortable working with both hourly and salaried employees
• You know your way around employee relations, recruiting, training, retention and compliance
• You have experience with payroll and benefits
• You’re approachable, organized and comfortable having the sometimes difficult conversations
• You’re someone the business can rely on and who enjoys building strong relationships

What You’ll Do

• Lead the local HR function and manage the HR team
• Partner with managers and leadership on employee relations and performance
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, retention, training and compliance
• Support payroll and benefits across the business
• Work closely with the corporate HR team while staying connected to the local operation
• Coach managers through employee issues and performance plans
• Help improve HR processes and create a consistent employee experience
• Be a trusted point of contact for employees and leadership
