Group Finance Manager

A private equity backed wealth management group is strengthening its finance team under a newly appointed CFO.

This role sits at the heart of the group's financial and regulatory reporting, with a clear path to Financial Controller.

You will work alongside the Financial Controller, take ownership of regulatory reporting, and build the knowledge and relationships to step up into the Financial Controller role within the next year or two.

The CFO is investing in the team and in better systems, so this is a chance to make the reporting process your own and be developed for the next level, in a finance function that is growing rather than standing still.

London based, hybrid working, with a salary of £85,000 to £100,000 plus benefits.

The Role

  • Own the group's regulatory reporting, preparing and submitting FCA returns accurately and on time
  • Run the month-end close for group entities and prepare management accounts
  • Prepare consolidated group reporting and reconciliations
  • Support the year-end audit and statutory accounts
  • Strengthen controls, processes and documentation across financial and regulatory reporting
  • Deputise for the Financial Controller and provide continuity across the function
  • Work with the CFO and FP&A on reporting improvements and new systems

Who we want to hear from

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience of FCA regulatory reporting, ideally in wealth or asset management or another regulated financial services business
  • A strong technical grounding in financial reporting and consolidation
  • Experience of month-end close and audit within a group structure
  • Ambition to step up to Financial Controller, with a track record of career progression
  • A careful, organised approach and the confidence to take ownership
