About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets that is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join its Early Years team as soon as possible.

The school is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who can support children with their early development and help create a stimulating environment where they feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will support play-based learning, encourage communication and social development, and work closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider EYFS team.

Previous experience in a primary school or nursery setting would be beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

  Support children within the Nursery setting

  Assist with play-based learning and practical activities

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage communication, language and social development

  
  


• 
  

  Promote children's independence and confidence

  
  


• 
  

  Work alongside the Nursery Teacher and wider EYFS team

  
  


• 
  

  Support children with different developmental needs

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain a safe, stimulating and well-organised environment

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with classroom routines and transitions

  
  


• 
  

  Observe children's progress and share relevant information with staff

  
  


• 
  

  Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  Previous experience in a Nursery, EYFS or Early Years setting desirable

  
  


• 
  

  Relevant childcare or Early Years qualification advantageous

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of child development and play-based learning

  
  


• 
  

  Patient, caring and nurturing approach

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and teamwork skills

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, proactive and adaptable

  
  


• 
  

  Able to support children with a range of needs

  
  


• 
  

  Genuine passion for working with young children
