Harper May is partnering with a PE-backed B2B gaming technology business that supplies its products to operators across the UK and Europe.

A Commercial Finance Manager is being hired on an initial six-month interim basis, with a clear route to a permanent role for the right person.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Commercial Finance Manager will review and present the monthly results and lead the commercial analysis and FP&A side of the business.

A Management Accountant prepares the month-end, so this role is about reviewing it, explaining it and turning the numbers into insight the business can act on.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the month-end management accounts prepared by the Management Accountant
• Present monthly results and variance commentary to the Head of Finance and senior leadership
• Lead commercial analysis across customers, products and markets, including margin and profitability
• Own budgeting, forecasting and reforecasts
• Build and improve reporting and KPIs that help the business make decisions
• Partner with commercial and operational teams on pricing, deals and performance
• Support ad-hoc analysis and projects for the Head of Finance and the leadership team

What we are looking for

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong commercial finance or FP&A background, ideally in a technology, gaming or B2B services business
• Confident reviewing management accounts and presenting numbers to non-finance leaders
• Strong Excel and modelling skills
• Available for an interim start, and open to the role becoming permanent
• Based within a comfortable commute of Stamford; three days a week in the office
