About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington, starting January 2027.

This full-time Class Teacher position is an excellent opportunity for both experienced primary teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their teaching careers within a supportive school environment.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  

  Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum

  
  


• 
  

  Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning, independence and achievement

  
  


• 
  

  Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs

  
  


• 
  

  Deliver effective phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics lessons to develop strong foundational skills

  
  


• 
  

  Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)

  
  


• 
  

  Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders to maintain high standards of teaching, behaviour and pupil wellbeing

  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification

  
  


• 
  

  Experience as a KS1 Class Teacher or in a similar role, with applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role

  
  


• 
  

  Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  
  


• 
  

  Right to work in the UK
