Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for autistic pupils.
Deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
Support pupils' communication, independence and social development.
Help children achieve their personalised learning and development goals.
Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils with complex needs and personal care where required.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider school team.
What we're looking for:
Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs (professional, voluntary or personal).
GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
A positive, patient and resilient approach.
Confidence supporting children with complex needs.

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm
Tuesday: 8:45am - 5:30pm

About the role and school
We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets from September.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside experienced teachers, the SENCO and support staff to provide personalised support that enables pupils to access learning and reach their full potential.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
