R&D Packaging Manager

Our client, a consumer manufacturing brand, has a requirement for a R&D Packaging Manager to join the R&D team at their Kent based facility.

As R&D Packaging Manager, you will:

• Drive the development, validation, and execution of new packaging elements with excellence to full scale manufacturing and provide expertise and support to the engineering team


• Identify and manage optimisation of existing packaging elements through cost savings, sustainability improvements and manufacturing efficiency improvements aspects


• Ensure compliance with relevant GMP and hygiene procedures and standards


• Work cross-functionally, on global business practices and improve efficiency of the R&D organisation

To be considered for the role of R&D Packaging manager, you will have:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific or engineering field


• 5 or more years relevant experience in consumer goods packaging development or a similar environment


• Experience in technology sourcing and innovation management.


• Experience leading a team/ hiring direct reports


• Proven leadership capability, experience managing organisations composed of scientists and engineers
