Brick Layer

we are seeking a skilled and experienced Multiskilled Brick Layer to join our team.

This position involves working on various projects within the local area, ensuring high-quality construction and repair of brick structures in residential properties.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bricklaying tasks including the construction, repair, and maintenance of brick walls, pathways, and other structures.


• Prepare surfaces and ensure proper alignment and stability of bricks using appropriate tools and techniques.


• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the work surface to bind bricks or blocks together.


• Cut and shape bricks to fit corners, arches, or other specific structures.


• Carry out restoration work on heritage buildings, ensuring the use of appropriate materials and techniques.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.


• Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and local council staff to complete projects efficiently and effectively.


• Conduct routine inspections and assessments of brickwork, identifying areas needing repair or maintenance.


• Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each project.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a local council or public sector environment.


• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Bricklaying or equivalent qualification.


• Strong understanding of construction and bricklaying techniques..


• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.


• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.


• Valid UK driving license.
